NCCP PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT POINTS
To maintain ‘certified’ status, a coach must complete Professional Development (PD) Points within a five year cycle. Tracking of PD points begins January 1, following certification.
Competitive coaches are required to complete their points to maintain deck eligibility for competitions as per CAS’s Coach Registration and Certification Policy. Section VIII E. Further details can be found in the Coach Development Pathway.
If your NCCP status is ‘Not Renewed’, you will not be eligible to be on deck.
It is a coach’s responsibility to stay on top of PD points.
Points are earned based on the parameters set out by the CAC and CAS. If you are attending, or have attended, something not delivered by AAS, CAS or CAC you can self report these in your Locker profile, under the certification page. Alternatively you can submit a request for PD points by completing the online submission form.
REMEMBER: You can self-report one point per year as an active coach. Points must be recorded annually through the self report process on your Locker profile.
For more information on PD points, visit the CAC’s Maintenance of Certification webpage.
