Athletes
From first splash to podium, Alberta Artistic Swimming is proud to support athletes of all ages and abilities across the province — from grassroots beginners and recreational swimmers to competitive and masters athletes. Our programs are designed to develop the whole athlete: fostering teamwork, discipline, resilience, and confidence both in and out of the water. We believe sport is about more than performance — it’s about building character, community, and a lifelong love of the sport.

LONG TERM ATHLETE DEVELOPMENT
The Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model is a framework that guides athletes through a structured pathway from their first introduction to sport all the way through to elite performance or lifelong active participation. It ensures that athletes receive the right training and experiences at the right stage of their development, with a focus on building a love of sport, developing fundamental skills, and supporting the whole athlete — physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Canada Artistic Swimming
Canada Artistic Swimming has released the Artistic Swimming Long-Term Athlete Development Framework 2.1 resource. This resource is the fundamental operational manual underpinning the structure and programming for the sport of artistic swimming.
